I ran into an issue where my admin server was crashing, looking into the issue i found this in the logs:
unable to obtain lock on Adminserver.lok
In some cases obiee 11g will not give you the location of the lok file it will just display the messaage as
BEA-141281 Info: unable to get file lock, will retry …
what ever be your case we can just simply follow the resolution given below.
Resolution:
Search for *.lok files in your Oracleinstance/Fmw home and remove all the files and try restarting the server this time it will start successfully.
